Blending for Cepsa
Blending is a digital platform that enables fuel blending technicians to perform their tasks more efficiently and accurately. I led the design, focusing on creating an intuitive and streamlined tool that enhances both the quality of the blends and the overall user experience.
What is the Blending Platform?
The Blending platform is a digital tool that I designed to streamline the fuel mixing process for technicians. By replacing the outdated Excel method, I aimed to create a user-friendly application that allows technicians to develop more effective and sustainable fuel blends.
The platform includes features such as calculating blend characteristics, saving mixtures for future use, and generating reports, all within a desktop-friendly interface. I utilised Cepsa’s design system to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience.
Main Goal of the Platform
The primary goal of the Blending platform is to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of fuel mixing operations. My aim was to provide a more intuitive solution that reduces the time and effort required for technicians to create blends. Ultimately, I want this platform to lead to better fuel mix quality and promote more sustainable practices within the industry.
Methodology Used
To develop the platform, I followed a user-centred design approach. With the help of the research team, we conducted interviews with technicians to understand their needs and challenges. This feedback informed my design process, allowing me to create a platform that truly meets user requirements. I collaborated closely with the data and development teams, and throughout the project, I conducted usability testing to ensure the final product was both effective and user-friendly.
